Christ Chapel of Long Beach

Christ Chapel has been formed as a fellowship of believers in the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Above all, it is our desire to know Jesus Christ and depend upon the Holy Spirit to mold our lives in his likeness.

Our mission as a church is to present everyone mature in Christ.

To accomplish our mission, we have identified five areas in which to provide opportunities for our church family to mature in their walk with Christ and to which we pledge our commitment as a body.  We call these the five Gs:

GATHER—An invitation into intimate Christian community.
“I promise to worship at Christ Chapel regularly and to share my life with others in this church family.” Hebrews 10:24.

GLORIFY—A daily encounter with an awesome God.
“I promise to love God with all my heart.” Romans 12:1

GRAPPLE—A biblical, honest and hope-filled engagement with the issues of life.
“I promise to wrestle with life’s challenges while holding on to Jesus.”
Colossians 1:29; 2-Thessalonians 2:15-17; 2Timothy 2:14-26

GIVE—A joyful dedication of ourselves and our resources to the cause of the Kingdom.
“I promise to be obedient to God’s claim on my money and my talents for his work at 
Christ Chapel.” Matthew 10:8b

GO—A resolve to break out of our comfort zones into the world with the love of Christ.
“I promise to stretch myself to reach others with God’s love and truth.”
